7:49 p.m. - Were about eight minutes away from the start of the men's game tonight. I want to open with a quick note letting everyone know that getoffus.com will be updated this week. Extreme tiredness comes from getting used to school and driving to Magnolia, that's why there was hardly any update last week. But I intend to get all the photo galleries up this week. Look for it tomorrow or Wednesday. I promise.

7:53 p.m. - UCA's resident trash-talking fan, Tim Winston, of UCA cross country fame, just strolled down to the CBU end of the court to talk a little noise. He asked Bucs center Nick Kohs if his boyfriend penciled Nick's tattoo on for him. It is a pretty bad tattoo, regardless of who did the work.

7:56 p.m. - Here's what you want to hear in the heart of the conference season: one of the officials just walked by and said, "This is the smallest crowd I've had at Central Arkansas." It is very sparse tonight, the women's box score doesn't have an attendance on it, but there can't be more than 500 folks in here. Maybe just shy of 600... it's tough to say, but it's definitely empty in here, and cold.

8:02 p.m. - Not sure what's going on, but the training staff is giving Joey Cortez's ears a good looking over. I can't tell from here, but maybe he's got some studs in those ears. And it appears he does, the training staff taped over them and Cortez takes the court for the tip.

8:03 p.m. - The Bears don't want to repeat Thursday's poor performance. LeMar Phillips opened scoring with a 3-pointer.

8:03 p.m. - Darryl Jones just made it 6-0 with a three of his own.

8:04 p.m. - The Bears are looking good early, Cortez got a steal, then sent it ahead to Fred Campbell, Campbell went back to Cortez for a layin and a 8-0 UCA lead.

8:07 p.m. - Well, the Bucs have fired back with three straight 3s and trail 10-9... I like it when shots fall.

8:19 p.m. - Bears still on fire, they've hit five 3-pointers so far in the half and lead 29-20 with 7:13 left.

8:30 p.m. - Both teams shot well in the first half, CBU got back in the game late in the half and UCA leads 36-35.

8:47 p.m. - The Farris Center woke up a few minutes ago when a young lady won $107 from Y107 FM, but I have a feeling for the remainder of this game they'll continue to nap. It's sad when the most excited you get is for a contest winner rather than the basketball game... speaking of the game, UCA is shooting 46.7 percent, 66.7 from 3-point land, the Bucs are shooting 51.7 from the field, 33.3 from deep.

8:58 p.m. - UCA's on a 9-0 run after CBU went on a 9-2 run to start the half and the Bears lead 47-44.

9:02 p.m. - Kevin Weybright ties the game for CBU it's now 47-47 with 13:50 to go.

9:03 p.m. - The Bucs are on a 9-0 run, Weybright just hit a 3 to make it 53-47 CBU.

9:09 p.m. - All the 9-0 runs have seemed to come to an end, now the game is just going back and forth, the Bears still trail 57-53.

9:11 p.m. - Phillps just tied the game at 57 with a jumper from the right corner. The Bears have scored six straight. There's 7:57 to go in the game.

9:22 p.m. - CBU hit three-straight 3s to take the lead 68-66 with 4:22 left, but Cortez converted a three-point play and Phillips just hit a jumper to give the Bears a 71-70 lead with 2:47 left.

9:26 p.m. - UCA trails 75-73 with 1:18 to go. The Bucs reeled off five straight before Stephin Booth tapped one back in to keep the Bears in it. CBU has the ball.

9:28 p.m. - The Bears forced a turnover and then came down and Campbell hit a 3 to give UCA the 76-75 lead with :54 to go.

9:30 p.m. - Weybright just hit a wide-open 3 to make it 78-76 CBU with :33.1 left.

9:31 p.m. - Jones was fouled on the way to the bucket. He'll be shooting two. He missed the first. And the second. CBU gets the ball back with 15.4 to go.

9:34 p.m. - There's 14.7 seconds left, Bruner just knocked the ball out of bounds, CBU is going to attempt to inbound once again.

9:36 p.m. - UCA had to foul, Weybright hits his first with 13.1 left. He missed his second, CBU leads 79-76 with 10.9 left, it appears UCA called a timeout and they don't have anymore, so a technical is applied and Weybright gets two more shots.

10:37 p.m. - My battery went ahead and drained at the Farris Center, but if you haven't heard by now, the Bears lost 82-79.
