Running Diary - UCA, UAM men

7:47 p.m. - Marvin Delph just strolled by. Two former Razorback greats in the Farris Center the last two games, that's amazing. Tonight the Marvin Delph Award is being given to UCA's own Carone Harris. We're about 11 minutes out from the beginning of the game. UAM isn't going to have a whole lot of depth, dressing just eight guys.

7:49 p.m. - Here are some GSC women's finals: HSU 57, Tech 44; Delta State 43, Christian Bros. 32; OBU 53, Harding 46.

7:55 p.m. - For those of you that don't know, tonight is Echo production night, so it's a busy one for Josh and I. But we like it when the games go quickly on Mondays. The faster they go, the more sleep we get. And sleep is a good thing. Just under five minutes away from go time here.

7:57 p.m. - Here's another great piece of information, for the first time in two games it appears I'm going to have a working stat monitor. So I'll be able to feed you all kinds of interesting tidbits from this one.

8:08 p.m. - UAM out to a quick start here, leading 10-5 after Brandon Mayweather completed a 3-point play. Fred Campbell just answered with at 3, making it 10-8 UAM.

8:12 p.m. - UAM leads it 15-8 now. The Boll Weevils are shooting 54.5 percent, 66.7 from behind the arc. A Darryl Jones free throw just made it 15-9 UAM.

8:18 p.m. - Mitch Reuter blew a golden opportunity for 2 points a moment ago when he couldn't decide to dunk or lay it up. It turns out he did neither. UAM leads 18-12 with 10:05 left in the first half.

8:20 p.m. - UAM's shooting has cooled off some, down now to just 42.9 percent. The Bears are shooting 36.4 percent.

9:06 p.m. - Tonight is a perfect clinic in how not to shoot. Both teams are under 40 percent, the Bears lead 40-30.

9:14 p.m. - The Bears are leading 46-38 with 7:59 to go.

9:28 p.m. - Bears still lead 54-48. The Weevils cut it to 50-48, but UCA has scored 4 straight to cushion the lead a little bit. There's 2:41 left to go.
